Cooper is an absolutely wonderful dog. Not only is he stunning (everywhere I take him, people are in awe), he is sweet, smart and well-behaved. He is quite a dainty gentleman for his size (around 85 pounds) and gets along great with my female pit bull, Jasmine Blue. I have had him on and off leash and he does well with both. He is a snuggle bug, too, and loves affection, but he is also happy to chill out on the couch or on his dog bed. He is very funny, too — he loves to sleep under the covers. When he looks into your eyes, it will melt your heart.

Most notably, he is extremely balanced — no issues with other dogs, kids, or anyone else. Just a really nice dog (as a bonus, he already knows how to sit, stay, shake, lie down, and give a kiss).

Below is the link to an article I wrote recently that ran in my magazine, Northside San Francisco, about Pali, Rocket Dog, and the shelter where Cooper came from. I didn’t introduce Cooper in this article because I knew I was going to foster him and wanted to highlight some of the dogs still stuck at the shelter and in need. I am planning to introduce him in this month’s column (it’s called Jasmine Blue’s Tails of the Dog Park, and it’s about life with my pretty pittie girl, Jazzy). Cooper will soon be a bit of a star! Here is the link to this month’s chapter — it will give you an idea of what Cooper was dealing with as he languished there for two months without so much as a walk:

Cooper is a loving, amazing dog and he deserves a great home. To meet Cooper please contact Susan at or Dina at
